At times we all provide help to someone in need and at other times need help ourselves. Caring for each other has always been one of UUCK's strengths. Every member and friend of this community has a role in creating and sustaining this community of care.

Our Helping Hearts Network consists of UUCK members and friends who volunteer to assist others who are experiencing a challenge.. If you can can cook, drive, do light housework, send a card, or provide other similar services we ask that you consider sharing what you are able to do with someone needing temporary support.

Prepare & deliver meals

Provide transportation (appointments, church, grocery store, etc.)

Household assitance (light cleaning, minor repairs)

Emergency childcare (requires background check)

Sunday helpers (assist individuals with physical challenges on Sunday mornings)

Memorial services (reception set-up and clean-up, prepare and serve food)

Compassionate Listeners (training will be provided)

Send cards of caring

Helping Hearts Network Facilitator (help with the facilitation of this care ministry)
