Would you like to gain leadership skills during your studies, expand your network and hang out with likeminded people? Are you proactive and like to take initiative? Then you should join the club! Here at ACE we want to offer a home base to all the students interested in data science, helping them in acquiring additional skills and tools needed to succeed in their career whether it is in academia or industry.

Coming from various STEM disciplines and cultural backgrounds, we strive to leverage our unique profiles to create and strengthen an active community at ETH and beyond.

To live up to our mission we rely on engaged and committed students, such as yourself, who steer the core activities of the club as part of the ACE board.The structure of the board consists of 6 committees which are shortly described below:
  1. External Relations: find sponsors for the club, organise recruiting and networking events, and sell services to the companies. That’s a great position if you want to expand your network and get exposed to many companies in Zurich
  2. Community: contribute to building and expanding the biggest Data Science and Machine Learning enthusiasts community at ETH, organising social events and other cool activities for the members.
  3. Marketing: from shaping the corporate identity of the club, designing the advertisements and maintaining the website, to defining marketing strategies on LinkedIn and other platforms to help the club grow.
  4. Educational Program: Help us design our brand new educational program, which will give students foundations of Python and Machine Learning in a very hands-on fashion. Organise and teach the lectures, find sponsors, and advertise the program.
  5. Quant Program: if you are interested in finance, that’s definitely for you. Help the Quant committee organise the first Quant Hackathon at ETH, and workshops to educate ETH students about the fascinating world of Quantitative Finance.
  6. Data Days: Help organise our biggest event, a 5-day full immersion in Artificial Intelligence, with a Machine Learning focused job fair, many workshops and events on the side, and the biggest Machine Learning dedicated hackathon in Switzerland, with sponsors such as AWS, Microsoft, and Accenture.
  7. Hack4Good: Help organise this year’s edition of Hack4Good, and connect students from ETH with non-profit organisations and allow them to apply their theoretical knowledge on real-life problems.
