In order to ensure the safety of our scholars, on-campus volunteer opportunities require the completion of a district-required volunteer clearance process. The steps to become a cleared volunteer are:

1. Attend a volunteer orientation with Dr. Hodge.

2. Complete the application packet including a tuberculosis risk assessment and/or test (signed by a health care provider) and turn it in to the front office.

3. Get LiveScan fingerprinting for a Department of Justice background check.

4. Verify that the background check is complete by contacting Mrs. Hamme in the front office as soon as one week from submission. You may not start volunteering until you are cleared by the Department of Justice.

Costs: The application process currently involves a fee of $32 when you submit your completed packet to the front office. If you are in need of financial assistance, please reach out to PTA EVP Teresa Wong (tjwong+pta@gmail.com), PTA President VK Shah (elrinconptapresident@gmail.com), or Dr. Hodge (amyhodge@ccusd.org) after attending volunteer orientation. All financial assistance will be kept confidential.

Note: If you were cleared through the district previously, you are all set. You do not need new clearance for the new year.
