"BE A GIRL WITH A MIND, A WOMAN WITH ATTITUDE, AND A LADY WITH CLASS."

It's a strange and daunting world we live in... how can we help our young teenage daughters to grow up to be strong, independent and confident young women in this ever-demanding environment they have to navigate daily? In a world where "looks" and "selfies" are more important than class and courage, what can we do to empower and equip them?

This new addition to the Midstream Cultural Festival aims to help parents do just that...

We invite our Grade 6 and 7 ladies to join this event and start their teenage journey with confidence, self-worth and a bit of knowledge on how to present themselves in a world where it is not always easy to be "you".

Dit is 'n vreemde en uitdagende wêreld waarin ons leef… hoe kan ons ons jong tienerdogters grootmaak om sterk, onafhanklike en selfversekerde jong meisies te wees in die onstabiele omgewing wat hulle elke dag moet bestuur?  Wat kan ouers doen om hulle dogters toe te rus en te bemagtig In 'n wêreld waar hoe jy lyk en "selfies" belangriker is as om stylvol en dapper te wees?

Hierdie nuwe toevoeging tot die Midstream Kultuurfees gaan poog om ouers juis hiermee te help...

Ons nooi al ons graad 6- en 7-meisies uit om hierdie geleentheid by te woon en hulle tienerreis te begin met selfvertroue, selfwaarde en 'n bietjie kennis oor hoe om jouself te wees in 'n wêreld waar egtheid nie noodwendig die "in-ding" is nie.
