The Department of Chemistry invites applications from outstanding individuals for one faculty position in Organic Chemistry (Assistant/Associate Professor):  Suitably qualified candidates are expected to have a PhD Degree in Organic Chemistry with experience in Petroleum Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry and active research interest preferably in the areas of petroleum refining, petrochemicals and polymer synthesis and applications.  The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous externally funded independent research program in their areas of expertise involving student research projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A minimum of one-year postdoctoral research experience and a minimum of two-year teaching experience beyond postdoctoral training are required. The ability to teach general chemistry will be an added advantage.
