Anthrocon 2024 Volunteer
This form is for those who who are attending Anthrocon 2024 in Pittsburgh, PA,  July 4th - July 7th, 2024, and wish to lend some of their spare time to convention departments in need of an extra set of hands over the course of the weekend.

Depending on time, day, and department needs, we might call on you a lot if we find ourselves shorthanded, or less if we somehow have a deluge of volunteers. We generally reach out via Telegram and Discord as to be able to blanket request to the widest audience during times of need. Technology!

Volunteering for a certain number of hours may fetch you some snacks, swag, or even comped attendance for the next year's convention!

Please be advised that we can only accept volunteers and staff by those 18 years of age or older by the time of convention. But please come by in a couple years and I'm sure we can always use the extra hand!

Please be advised in order to volunteer, it's usually an on-site task during the convention, and you must be a Registered attendee to Volunteer. We presently have no interest in working with virtual/remote volunteers or third-party firms, unless they are already well-established to be 'in the family' so to speak.

Every so often we'll send out the Discord and Telegram Channels to registered individuals' emails so that you can be ready to go in terms of the all-calls.

Volunteering is the primary way we vet potential staffers, to ensure they're up to the task and have the right helpful and community-focused attitude in making the event as successful as possible.

Volunteer Agreement *
I am volunteering to help with ANTHROCON. This may come in the form of physical labor. I understand that I will receive no monetary payment for my services, though I am aware I may be working towards redeemable convention swag or perks.
In addition, I understand that I am not an employee and I will not be entitled to, nor will I receive any, Worker's Compensation Benefits or other similar payments under the law of any state in the event I am injured during my tasks. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless ANTHROCON and Anthrocon, Inc. from any claim for personal injuries or other damages or equity arising out of my activities at ANTHROCON.
I understand that I am providing my contact information, and that said information will be retained for the duration of the event, and only utilized for official purposes such as summoning for volunteer assistance or post-con follow-up.
