How will this benefit my child? Your child will learn to use healthy vocal technique, gaining confidence in their singing voice. They will learn to sing in harmony and will learn to understand music through the experience of it, using the Kodály philosophy of music education. They will also make wonderful friends brought together through a common love of music and singing. Finally they will be given the opportunities to perform together, with our adult choir at Christmas, and our older children will perform alongside the Belfast Philharmonic Youth Choir, Dublin Youth Choir and the Sperrin Kids Choir, as part of the Belfast Children’s Festival 2023.
Is there an audition?
No - all children who love to sing are welcome.
What is included?
Rehearsals will include Kodály based musicianship classes plus choir rehearsal, all musical materials.
