What Every Volunteer Needs To Know:

Volunteers check in and out at the main office: All volunteers and visitors will enter through the main office to check in. Upon checking in, you will be issued a name badge to wear while on campus.

Volunteers help keep our schools safe and tobacco free:

Volunteers turn off cell phones or other electronic devices:

Volunteers and all visiting adults shall turn off all audible notifications on their electronic devices while in student areas.

Volunteers help support our students with food allergies:

Awareness of food allergy/sensitivity is a necessity. Food allergies may have serious health implications, therefore, the sharing of food items is prohibited. (If a student shows signs of and allergic reaction or complains of allergic symptoms such as: hives, swollen lips, coughing, tightness in throat, difficulty breathing, paleness, etc. seek help immediately).

Volunteers are aware of how to report suspected child maltreatment:

ANYONE who suspects child maltreatment may report their concerns. If you see something that concerns you, we encourage you to say something. Every person employed by a school district is a mandated reporter.

Reporting Suspected Child Maltreatment

If you need to report child maltreatment, you may contact the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline at: 1-800-482-5964

What is child maltreatment?

Put simply, child maltreatment is a big word for child abuse or neglect. Abuse and neglect can be several things, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, sexual exploitation or abandonment by the caretaker of the child (a parent, guardian, custodian, or foster parent). Child maltreatment occurs when the caretaker harms the child or lets harm come to the child, or when the caretaker fails to meet the child’s basic needs. Note: Sexual abuse and exploitation are child maltreatment under Arkansas law whether by a caretaker or by someone else.
