Covid-19 Policy:

Your safety is our top priority. We have implemented strict safeguards to help protect our staff, program participants, and public park visitors from COVID-19 based on the most current federal and state guidelines.

At this time, masks are optional. All staff are fully vaccinated. The Roaming Naturalist LLC. and participants are required to wear masks during programs if the participant has recently recovered from Covid-19 (6-10 days after a positive test). In addition, we will be taking the following precautions:

Hand sanitizer will be provided at the beginning of each program
Groups will not exceed 12 participants.

Assumption of the Risk & Waiver of Liability related to Covid-19

The Roaming Naturalist has created new protocols and put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, The Roaming Naturalist LLC. cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending any program may increase your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I and other members of my household may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending a program hosted by The Roaming Naturalist LLC.,and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at The Roaming Naturalist program may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, The Roaming Naturalist LLC. employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families. I understand that, based on the inherent natures of children and children’s activities, it is likely impossible to prevent all potential sources of transmission of COVID-19 despite all reasonable efforts of The Roaming Naturalist LLC.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren), myself, or members of my household including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) or members of my household may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at The Roaming Naturalist LLC. program. On my behalf, and on behalf of my child(ren) and members of my household, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless The Roaming Naturalist LLC., its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from any and all claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto as a result of my child(ren)’s attendance at The Roaming Naturalist LLC. program. I understand and agree that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of The Roaming Naturalist, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any The Roaming Naturalist LLC. program.

If you are experiencing a cold, COVID-related symptoms or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, we ask that you please stay home and contact us to explore your cancellation options.

Cancellation Policy

Please understand that our programs have limited capacity due to our Covid-19 policy and Statewide mandates and many of our programs sell out quickly. For this reason, we respectfully request that if you must cancel, you do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled program in order to receive a full refund. This will allow us to offer your spot to another family on our waitlist. You may call us at 937-545-9579 between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday to cancel or send an email at info@theroamingnaturalist.org. As a small business, we appreciate and rely on your support; we also understand that conflicts can arise and are out of our control. If the 48-hour window has passed, we would like to give you the option of crediting your payment toward another program of your choice. Please note that all programs will take place rain or shine. We will only cancel in the case of severe weather conditions or other unforeseen emergencies beyond our control. In this case, you will have the option of receiving a refund or crediting your payment towards the rain date or other program of your choice.

Assumption of the Risk & Waiver of Liability
I am 18 years or older
I hereby release and save harmless The Roaming Naturalist LLC. and its employees from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or other claims arising out of this program.
In the event I cannot be reached in an emergency, I hereby give permission to the medical personnel selected by the Lead Educator to administer treatment, including hospitalization, for my child as named above
I give permission for my child to be photographed and for his/her picture to be used without identification or compensation in The Roaming Naturalist LLC. publications.
In the event that a program is either cancelled or postponed, The Roaming Naturalist LLC. will make every effort to contact every patron via email, time permitting. While we regret the inconvenience caused by these circumstances, The Roaming Naturalist cannot be held responsible for any cost or damage such postponement or cancellation may incur. All patrons purchasing from The Roaming Naturalist LLC. must do so in the light of the above limitations.
Refunds on reservations purchased for a cancellation or postponement by The Roaming Naturalist LLC. only, are at the discretion of education coordinators. In all instances when a reservation is refunded, only the cost of the ticket is refunded, not the administrative fee.
