The NIHR Academy supports a number of career development awards available at different levels, and accessible by different professional backgrounds. Selection committees for these awards support the development of the scheme, assess applications and make funding recommendations based on quality. The make-up of selection committees is reviewed regularly and adjusted in response to need. If you are interested in joining a selection committee at the NIHR Academy please complete this form. Our purpose for collecting this data is to fill vacancies on our selection committee. The data we collect here is collected in the public interest. Information provided here may be subject to Freedom of Information requests.  

Details of all our committees are posted on the NIHR Academy website; information is limited to individual names, departments and institutions. Your details will not be posted on our web site unless you become a member of a selection committee.

The information you provide will be retained and used in connection with recruitment to vacancies on our committees; you will be informed if your EOI has not been accepted. Your EOI data will be kept for two years from submission. It will not be used for other purposes and we will not pass your details on to any other organisation.

The NIHR Academy is part of the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The contracting agent for NIHR Academy is the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT). The DHSC is the Data Controller and LTHT is the Data Processor under the UK GDPR which is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EC 2016/679 as defined in the Data Protection Act 2018 .  DHSC NIHR respects the privacy of individuals who share their data and processes in a manner that meets the requirements of GDPR.
