Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our Ferd Friends in care! Our adoption applicants are screened for suitability and compatibility as well as criteria related to care and commitment. We take the time to carefully read each and every application. If we find your application aligns well with the animal you have applied for, we will contact you within a couple of days to further the adoption process. Unfortunately, we are unable to contact all applicants. Only applications that align with the animal's lifestyle, physical and medical needs will be contacted. We reserve the right to deny an adoption applicant.

All of our animals come from rescue situations (abandonment, rehoming, owner death, strays etc.) Any observations related to behaviour will be disclosed to you if applicable.

There may be things that come up post adoption given the change in environment. Will you provide any support your animal needs and allow the proper adjustment time following the 3-3-3 rule identified below.

Who is your veterinarian and what is their phone number? If you do not currently have a veterinarian, all our animals are registered with a clinic that will provide you with any care needed until you find another vet clinic. You are also welcome to stay with our clinic post adoption if you'd like!

Are you willing to provide the necessary training for your pet if required? (Puppy training, Socialization methods for Shy animals, slow introductions to household pets etc)

Are you aware that there is an adoption fee for this pet? This includes at minimum: a veterinary exam, spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines and parasite treatment.

Cats (0-6m): $300

Cats (6m +): $250

Senior/Shy Cats: $100

Dogs (0-6m) $750

Dogs (6m+) $600

Senior/Shy Dogs: $300

Compassionate adoption: No charge or to be discussed.
