Scholarships are provided by the Science Olympiad Equitable Inclusion Program, a Burroughs Wellcome  Foundation grant initiative, designed to increase rural and rookie participation in North Carolina Science Olympiad.

Each teacher will receive a $500 stipend for attending all 3 days of the Institute and committing to start an NCSO team for the 2021/22 school year. Each team will leave with supplies needed to start their team.  Food and transportation costs are covered by the grant.

The application period is open from April 8 - May 31, 2021. Decisions will be announced on June 1st.
