Kids ages 9-12 are invited to join us for a discussion of the book El Deafo by Cece Bell.

“Going to school and making new friends can be tough. But going to school and making new friends while wearing a bulky hearing aid strapped to your chest? That requires superpowers! This award-winning graphic novel tells the story of how young Cece was able to harness the power of the Phonic Ear to become “El Deafo, Listener for All.” And more importantly, declare a place for herself in the world and find the friend she’s longed for.”

Upon registration, participants will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last.

Registration is required for this in-person event and current Cumberland County Covid-19 protocols will be followed. We will be joining the Vineland Public Library virtually for this event.
