HTPS TEACHER APPLICATION 2024-25

We're excited to announce that we are adding a few teaching positions, K-12, for the 2024-25 school year! If you are interested in joining the Holy Trinity Private School (HTPS) family, please review the below qualifications and submit an application. HTPS offers a curriculum to students which is God-centered and uniquely tailored to the Russian Old Believers Community. We strongly encourage homeschool parents and/or teacher assistants to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years in customer service and/or 6 months experience with caring for children, preferably in groups.
Technology - basic knowledge (email, internet, copier, Microsoft and Google programs).
Bilingual - moderate reading, writing, and comprehension in English/Russian.
Church Slavonic - moderate reading a must. Fluently read Azbuka.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of the subject matter being taught.
General knowledge of proper discipline techniques.
Basic knowledge of principles and practices of education.
Basic knowledge of the theories of learning.
Basic knowledge of academic recording methods.
Skill in presenting ideas and instruction in a classroom setting.
Skill in applying teaching methods and procedures.
Skill in maintaining classroom discipline.
Skill in inspiring and maintaining interest in students.
Skill in organizing and planning classroom lessons.
Skill in evaluating student progress.
Skill in verbal and written communication.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is an exempt position and might require working occasional evenings.
Salary based on experience and negotiated agreement.
