WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: In this week-long workshop, participants who are 8-14 years old, will be given a part in the mini-musical Aladdin. Rehearsals will focus on training the student to deliver/project lines, sing, dance and work as a team to perform a
condensed and
very simplified 20 minute musical at the end of the week. There is no set and no technical elements.
PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT: Participants agree to use appropriate behavior, work hard and take direction. Respect for theater and city property is essential. TimpYT participants damaging any props, costumes, etc. or other participant's belongings will be held financially responsible.
DRESS: Participants agree to wear modest clothing that can move freely. Appropriate dance shoes may be recommended. Tennis shoes are acceptable.
COSTUMES/PROPS: With assistance from the Director and TimpYT, participants will be asked to provide costume items and props from home.
SCHEDULE: Rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday; June 10 - July 14 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Valentine Theater 839 E 9th N in Am. Fork. A free performance for family members will be performed on Friday, June 14
at 3:00 p.m.
PUNCTUALITY : Participants must arrive and be picked up on time. Staff members have obligations which prevent them from waiting with the children beyond the end of rehearsal.
TUITION: Tuition of $120 is due on June 1st. There will be no refund given if cancellation request is received after June 5th. Tuition can be paid by check, made payable to Timpanogos Arts Foundation or cash. Deliver payment to Koreen Hansen 5612 W. 10680 N. Highland 84003. Online tuition link provided upon request. Cash or check preferred method of payment. Special arrangements can be made if it's more convenient to pay the first day of rehearsal. Tuition may be due sooner than the dates above if workshop reaches capacity.
