Australian athletes who would like to gain selection for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games but not currently categorised may participate at IJF ranking events during the qualification period. The closing date for collecting ranking points is 1 May 2022.

To be eligible for consideration for selection for the CG, an Athlete must satisfy the following requirements:
 be an Australian citizen;
 be a financial member of and be in good standing with JA and the Combat Institute of Australia
       (CombatAUS);
 have signed the current JA Team Member Agreement and pre-signed the B2022 Team Membership
       Agreement;
 not have breached the CGA Anti-Doping By-Law unless the athlete has already been sanctioned for the
       breach and completed the sanction imposed;
 not by their actions or omissions brought themselves, JA, CombatAUS, CGA or the Team into disrepute or
       censure;
 be at least 1st Dan, black belt; and
 hold a valid IJF ID Card.

Entries and accommodation bookings must be completed by Judo Australia. Flight bookings may be done by the athletes.

Non official Australian Team events will not have a coach traveling to the event, these are all Pan-American Opens and African Opens. Further to that African Opens are only endorsed if the official Australian Government's travel advice is favorable for the countries organising these events.

A small amount of funding is available to non-caregorised athletes towards attending these events. Requests for funding will be assessed on the case by case bases considering the factors listed in the Commonwealth Games Selection Criteria under section 4.1.4.

This form must be completed by 31 December 2021 the latest.
