The following are examples of how personal information may be used and disclosed for track and field related activities and are not intended as an all-inclusive list. These activities are a vital part of a healthy and a functioning organization and the participation of all registrants in these activities is viewed as an important part of every athlete’s participation.
The use of an athlete's name for the identification of assigned teams.
The use of an athlete's name, address, telephone number, email address, birth date, parents'/guardians' name, address, telephone number, and email address for player identification purposes for track and field related activities.
The use of an athlete's address and related contact information for the purpose of acquiring voluntary assistance.
The use of an athlete's name, telephone number, and related contact information for absenteeism verification, emergency fan-outs, changes of schedules and other Club-related activities.
The use of photos/videos, taken by a member of Calgary Warriors Track Club, for educational purposes relating to track and field and for the website and social media.
The use of an athlete's name and any health and/or related personal information to assist authorized individuals in responding to emergency situations and to assist the players who have a medical or other conditions.
Refunds:
For 2022/2023 Annual Members, if any athlete in good standing (up to date with volunteer requirements and fees) ceases to continue with the Calgary Warriors during the track season, they will be offered a pro-rated refund less $100 administration fee.
If an athlete’s volunteer obligations have not been met, the $400 volunteer bond will be deposited or applied against outstanding fees, if fees have not been paid).
For athletes joining for outdoor 2023 (season begins mid-April), there will be no refunds, with the exception of athlete injury.
In the event of injury, athletes that provide a doctor’s note will receive fee adjustments for the period of their injury without penalty.
Withdrawals & Athlete Release to Another Club:
The Club has the right not to release an athlete to another club if the athlete is not in good standing (fees & volunteer requirements have been met). The athlete will be released once good standing has been achieved.
Families must provide a $400 post-dated volunteer cheque (July 31, 2023) to the Club.
Each Athletics Alberta member (or their family) is responsible to provide 12 hours of volunteer service at Alberta meets, as required by Athletics Alberta.
Each Club athlete (or their family) is responsible to fill one shift at the Calgary Warriors casino, which is held every 18 months or so.
Families can opt-out of the volunteer requirement by paying $400 with their registration.
