Background:
WSA has been initiated in 2003 in the framework of the UN World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS). It contributes to the UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AGENDA by recognizing local digital content with an impact on society, demonstrating the richness and diversity of innovative applications.  With over 15 years of international experience, WSA is a quality seal for digital content with societal impact in over 180 participating countries.

Objectives of the Social Innovation Seminar - World Summit Awards Perspective:
In this  Social Innovation Seminar – World Summit Awards Perspective (WSA), we will invite Chairman of World Summit Awards to give us some inspirations on the topic  “innovation for social impacts”, a value promoted by WSA. We wish to encourage entrepreneurs to create digital projects that can benefits society and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and achieve the goal of narrowing  the content gap, gender gap, knowledge divide and skills divide.  Also, we wish to bring out the “Zebra” concept which are the best practices that that balance both profit and purpose.  Zebra is a  new model for inclusive and ethical entrepreneurship.  Also, we will also invite social entrepreneurs in the Cyberport to share their experience in Hong Kong.    We hope that audience can get inspired and work together for social good.
