The national sport of Ireland, hurling and camogie, has been played for thousands of years.

More recently, it was brought to the SF Bay area at least since the mid 1800's, and Stanford had a club hurling team about 10 years ago (Berkely still has an active team).

It's the fastest field sport and builds skill, agility, and teamwork - but the most important qualities of a player are tenacity and creativity. It's for any gender. It's a heck of a lot of fun to play, to train, to lose, to win, to fight for, and to simply puck it around with a friend.

It's sorta like playing field hockey in the air, or lacrosse with cricket bats.

You should check it out
We're happy to teach/show you how it works, even if you've no intention of playing a game. Give us your email below and we'll reach out. We also play a bit of Gaelic football. We intend to focus a bit more on hurling because there's more club Gaelic football teams in the bay area, but would be quite excited to demonstrate and train with people for that.

And if you've played before, drop your email below and we'd love it if you could share your experience with us.

Of course, we got a few extra hurleys, sliotars, and helmets !

It helps if you can run, catch a ball, and swing a bat, but if you can't run well or have trouble with two-arm coordination we'd still be thrilled to meet you and help you figure out what you can take from the sport.
Match between Stanford and Berkely, at Stanford
We're trying to schedule some demonstration days for new players. Give us your email (or phone number) and we'll figure out a time that works to meet up on campus. No commitment. We'll get in touch to set something up. *
