All first-time Academic Student Employees (ASEs) and Graduate Student Researchers (GSRs, including GSRAs, Fellows, and Trainees) are required to attend a 30-minute New Employee Orientation with representatives from UAW 4811, the union of ASEs and GSRs at UC. At this orientation, union leaders will familiarize you with your rights, protections, and benefits as an ASE/GSR under the UC-UAW 4811 Collective Bargaining Agreements.
