Book Club
Here's your opportunity to tell us a bit about your interest in attending a Dark Mountain Book Club and a little about any additional needs you might have to be able to join in. This is a pilot project and so we would like to hear about what draws people to want to attend and offer places to those who are in alignment with what we're able to offer.

**This is an updated format and we are now running one pilot session instead of three**

The session will include space to discuss the following themes and pieces:

Spaces shared by animals and humans: ‘Let Them Tell You’ by Nancy Lord and ‘Morris’ by Jane Smith.

Adventure and freedom: ‘Tough Times for Wandering Luddites’ by Nathanael Bonnell and ‘Convergences’ by Hannah Hindley.

Anticipating change: ‘The Unfathomable Heart’ by Stephanie Krzywonos and ‘The Lunatical’ by Ceda Parkinson.

Our advice is to read all six pieces before the club but if you are interested in only one of the themes then please just make sure you've read the two pieces relating to that theme.

What draws you to want to attend a Dark Mountain Book Club?
What do you hope to gain from attending this event?
Have you attended any Dark Mountain events or workshops before- if so, which ones?
Additional support
Is there anything that we could offer you remotely that would enable your attendance?  (ie. notes of the plan for each session in advance or instructions on how to use Zoom).

The book club will run on Zoom for 1.5 hours on 3 Tuesdays in November and December- the club will be at 7pm-8.30pm UK time. You will need to have a device that can access Zoom and a Zoom account- we politely request that if possible you use a laptop rather than a phone or tablet and that you're willing to have your camera on during the sessions.

Reading the material
This club requires you to have read the piece we're discussing in advance of the session- the pieces will not be available on our website so it means you need to own a physical copy of Dark Mountain- Issue 21. Do you have one or willing to purchase one?

Feedback
These initial three Book club sessions are a pilot for us to assess what works best. We will therefore be sending out a survey form (the same style as this one) to gain your thoughts and feedback from the sessions, would you be willing to complete a feedback form?
