Parent/Guardian will attend MANDATORY Parent Meeting on THURSDAY, August 19 from 1-2:30pm
FLL is more than just robots and it is NOT a LEGO building club.
I understand this is a competitive team, space is limited, and this form doesn't guarantee me a spot on a team.
I understand cost of participation is $100 and will be deducted from my child’s allotment- end of Sept.
Thursday meetings 1:00-3:00 are mandatory, we meet EVERY THURSDAY except Thanksgiving. I will drop off and pick up my child on time. If a conflict arises, I will notify a coach in advance.
I understand that teams are formed on a trial basis for the month of September and I may or may not be placed on a team for the season based on my contribution and behavior during that trial month.
I understand I am required to work on a research project, present ideas in front of judges, and work as part of a team.
I agree that my behavior at meetings and tournaments will be constructive (helpful). I will stay with my team and participate to the best of my ability.
I agree to cooperate on whatever project solution the team chooses, even if it is not my first choice.
I agree to show other teams the utmost respect and good sportsmanship.
I will do my best to participate in team field trips, outreach, & fundraising activities that occur outside of the regular Thursday meetings. (Typically 2-3)
Unexcused or excessive absences (2 or more) and/or behavioral issues may result in my dismissal from the team and/or not being allowed to participate the following year.
I will participate in 2 all-day Saturday competitions (Nov/Dec & early Feb)
Based on local competition results some teams may be invited to Anchorage for state competition (Jan 15th) or national competition (May). This would require use of allotment, personal funds and/or fundraising.
I understand my contact information (name, phone #, email) will be shared on a team roster. Please let us know if you don't want your information shared with team mates.
I understand most team communication is posted on Facebook or sent via email. It is my responsibility to stay informed.
I understand the the most successful teams have members that work on the team project, programming, building, and core values outside of the regular Thursday meeting times. This can be done individually, in pairs, or as a whole team.

Parent Help needed!!! In order to make Robotics fun and successful for all we keep our teams small and hope to give each group a dedicated coach to help things move smoothly. This adult needs no prior knowledge just the ability to attend meetings & competitions, willingness to learn and ask questions that help direct students learning. Danielle and Kara will help to guide the teams week to week through needed tasks so teams are ready for competition.
Would you like to help coach a team?

Yes, I think so. Please send me more info

Any special considerations we should know about for your child(ren)? This will help us in making FLL Robotics a successful place for everyone.
