This is a questionnaire survey on the urban and architectural identity of Herat city of Afghanistan. Recently, one of the significant issues facing Afghanistan’s cities has been
the issue of urban and architectural identity, which has been completely forgotten. Despite the expansion and development of cities, particularly large
cities in Afghanistan, their appearance is incomprehensible, lacking in architectural
characteristics and urban identity, and generating a variety of crises. This questionnaire is a study method for evaluating urban and architectural identity for a Ph.D. thesis; it does not include personal names or other security information, and all privacy issues will be kept strictly confidential.
