Project ​Purpose: To develop a training curriculum that will be used to train youth to collaborate with and serve as effective research advisors to UCSF pediatric researchers to support the development of research projects that are relevant to youth needs.​

Project Goal: To increase youth voice in the development of research projects so that they are tailored to the needs of the people being studied.


Youth Research Advisory Council (YRAC)

YRAC members will create a sustainable process to elevate the voices of historically underrepresented young people that address the root causes of health inequities. Members will work as full partners with UCSF researchers to set research priorities for their communities. Participation in the council will include training and skill-building workshops, community leadership opportunities, and creating UCSF research priorities. 

Cohort 1 Begins December 2022 and ends April 2023
