Stamford's First Annual Fall Festival Pie Baking Contest 🥧
We are so excited to have you compete in Stamford's first ever Fall Festival Pie Baking Contest! Please review the information below for logistics and rules:

1. The competition is open to bakers of all ages!

2. There is a $5 entry fee per pie. There is no limit to the number of pies each participant can enter! Registration fees will be due no later than when you drop off your pie(s). Cash or checks are welcome, and can be delivered to Sarah Cox at the Grand Theatre. Checks can be made to: Stamford Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds will benefit the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and the Better Stamford School Supply Drive.

3. All pies must be completely homemade/made from scratch. No store bought crusts, here!  We want to see your finest home-baker skills. Please bring a copy of your recipe along with your pie. Recipes will not be shared with anyone but the judges.

4. Please deliver your pie in a disposable pie pan with a cover. This is required for entry into the contest- no pans will be returned to participants.

5. All pies must be delivered to the Grand Theatre in Stamford (118 E Hamilton Street) on Saturday, 10/29 between 10am - 12pm. At the time of drop-off all pies will be assigned a number, maintaining confidentiality.
  
6. By entering your pie, you acknowledge that you will not receive your pie back once you have dropped it off. After the judging has been completed, each pie will be sliced and sold to the general public during Fall Festival. All proceeds will go towards the Stamford Chamber of Commerce as well as the Better Stamford School Supply Drive.

7. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 pies! Pies will be judged on taste, crust, appearance, and texture. 

8. Preferred registration is due by Wednesday, October 26th. You may also register the day of during pie drop-off.

9. Winners will be contacted by phone and announced on Saturday the 29th! Ribbons can be picked up at the Grand or alternate arrangements can be made with Sarah Cox. 


Pie Baking Contest Schedule:
Saturday, October 29th, 2022
10am - 12pm - Pie Drop off at the Grand Theatre, 118 E. Hamilton Street Stamford
12:15 pm - 1:15pm  - Judging of Pies
1:30pm - Awards Ceremony at the Grand Theatre
1:45pm - Pie Sales, in front of the Grand Theatre
