Are you wanting to make a difference in your community? Is there an issue that you have been wanting to campaign about for a while but you're not sure where to start? Or are you simply interested in learning about campaigning? If so, then this free course is for you.
Open to Harrow residents and organisations, the course will run once a week over three weeks (dates below) and a certificate of attendance will be given for attending all three sessions. Last year the course received very positive feedback:
“The campaign training course was brilliant! It helped me to gain an understanding of what campaigning looks like, how it is implemented in practise and the importance of monitoring a campaign to build upon success and understand failure. The use of examples and case studies throughout the course was a great way to help me comprehend the problem and solution… I would definitely recommend this course to others!” (Hemal, 2021 campaign training course participant)
Over three sessions you will learn about:
- The meaning of campaign
- How to plan a campaign
- The different tools and tactics to use when campaigning
- The importance of monitoring and evaluating your campaign
- The importance of emotional resilience
A certificate of attendance will be provided for attending all three sessions. We will also provide you with a campaign toolkit which you can continue to use after the training course has finished.
