Storytelling Week  30 January to 5th February 2023
Stories teach us about the world, they allow us to step into someone else’s shoes and feel empathy, they help us to relax and escape and they can help develop essential literacy skills.

We are celebrating Storytelling Week in school from 30th January 2023 to Friday 5th February 2023.

As part of this along with our Intergenerational Work, we would love to invite parents/carers and grandparents into school and nursery to read to small groups of children.

We can work with you to prepare a book or if you have your favourite ones from home then we can share that too.

We are also keen to have family come along and share stories of the past - their childhood, school stories, favourite memories and talk about how things were in the 'good old days.'

You do not have to be a teacehr to do this.  You are all amazing as you are and no doubt read to your children and grandchildren all the time.

We will match up adults with the right group of children and there will be school staff with you all the way.

If you would like to help us during this week please leave your details below and we will be in touch.

Many thanks

Emma Quinn
