Review Panel and Online Workshop: Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library
Syriaca.org is pleased to call for editorial review panelists to assist in the publication of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library: A New Digital Edition of Wright’s Catalog, a digital enhancement of William Wright's Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Museum.

Panelists will be invited to participate in a two-week online workshop hosted by The Digital Lab at Vanderbilt University during the weeks of June 3-7, 2024, and July 8-12, 2024. Honoraria for participants will be paid by a grant from Vanderbilt University’s Office of the Vice Provost for Research & Innovation.

For full consideration, applicants should submit their application before March 21, 2024. Applications will continue to be received after that date until the workshop is full. Notifications for accepted applications will be sent in early April.

We request that panelists commit to full-time collaboration during each week of the workshop (approximately 40 hours per week). The weekly schedule will be divided between 30-35 hours independently reviewing manuscript entries and 5-10 hours of training sessions or team meetings. Each panelist will set the time table for their independent reviewing according to their own schedule. The schedule for the team meetings and training sessions will be set by workshop organizers. We anticipate that a required team meeting will be held each day for approximately 1-2 hours. At the start of the workshop, we may hold more than one training session per day.
