Thank you for your interest in applying to be a Board Member of the Jewish Queer Trans Folx of Vancouver Society (DBA JQT Vancouver)! Please fill out the form below with your contact details, check off that you have read and understand the role of the JQT Board and submit your resume/CV for review. We thank everyone for their interest and look forward to seeing you at JQT's 4th AGM on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 5-6PM PST , which will take place online.

Apply by end of day on Friday, February 2, 2024 for your nomination to be included in the agenda package. Nominations will be accepted from the floor upon presentation to membership.

The goal is to have an intergenerational and diverse Board comprised of experienced Board Members and those wanting to gain such experience. Transfer of skills and institutional memory are very important to us, so that future generations have the skills to help JQT for many years to come!

By checking off the following boxes, I confirm that I have read and understand the purpose of the JQT Board and the role of a JQT Board Member. *

The JQT Board is a fundraising, governance and working board.

The JQT Board meets every other month. The Board communicates via email and Google Docs throughout the year.

The role of the Executive Director is to organize the daily operations of JQT Vancouver and liaise with the JQT Dream Team on programming and report back to the JQT Board. To learn more about JQT's leadership structure, including Executive Director and the JQT Dream Team, see link below to POLICIES.

As a JQT Board Member, my role is to help fundraise, seek grant opportunities and assist the Executive Director in grant writing, oversee bylaw, governance and finances of the organization, offer advisory support to the Executive Director, and ensure that JQT is achieving its goals outlined in our Strategic Plan.

If elected as a JQT Board Member, my term will be 1-2 years. See link below to POLICIES re: staggering terms.
