Job Description
A Store Clerk performs daily tasks at the store including shelving, stocking, and similar in-store duties to ensure patrons have a satisfying shopping experience. Some other Store Clerk duties and responsibilities include:
*Greet customers, answer their queries, and assist them when selecting and finding merchandise.
*Monitor those in the store to help ensure loss prevention.
*Properly display all store products and place them in an organized manner so that customers can find them easily.
*Perform the checkout process and conduct all transactions and duties related to billing and payment at the store counter.
*Have the ability and knowledge to answer customer questions related to information, including availability of products.
*Maintain the overall look of the store and ensure that it is clean, restocked, and properly organized.
*Maintain product records and inventory, and ensure that the process of re- ordering is smooth.
*Be involved in planning and preparation of displays, trade shows, windows, and seasonal promotions.
*Able to lift boxes up to 30 pounds in weight.
