Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering Fall 2021 Panel RSVP Form
Please RSVP to attend each or one of the following virtual panels. You will be sent a Zoom link of the event the day before. All Panels are open to everyone interested in attending. ADSE at the University of Oregon will host three virtual panels in Fall 2021:

Workshop #1 -- B.S. STEM Degree Panel -- Thursday, October 7th 4-5 PM (PST)
Speakers working in industry as well as a representative from academia will introduce different career pathways available to students upon obtaining their Bachelor of Science degrees, and their respective experiences and outlook on the job market.
Panelists:
1) Valerie Brogden -- Focused Ion Beam Lab Manager at the Center for Advanced Materials Characterization in Oregon
2) Faraz Hussain -- Validation Engineer II at Edwards Lifesciences
3) Robin Tan -- Google Software Engineer, Internal Identity Access Management Team
4) Paul Kempler -- Associate Director for the OregonCenter for Electrochemistry Masters Program

Workshop #2 -- M.S./PhD STEM Degree Job Panel -- Friday, October 22nd 4-5 PM (PST)
Speakers working in industry will introduce different career pathways available to students upon obtaining their Master of Science or Ph.D, and their respective experiences and outlook on the job market.
Panelists:

2) Emma Timmel (M.S.) -- Market Access Writer at Evidera
3) Jordan Levine (PhD) -- Nike Sustainable Innovation Intern
4) Renae Gannon (PhD) -- Thermo Fisher Applications Scientists in Americas NanoPort

Workshop #3 -- Minority Graduate Student Panel -- Wednesday, November 10th 4-5 PM (PST)
Speakers from diverse backgrounds currently pursuing their graduate degrees will share their experiences of being a part of the academic research environment, as well as what opportunities they were able to pursue and what challenges they had to overcome. They will answer any questions from the crowd about grad school application preparation, what to look for in an institution or PI, who to contact, etc. If you wish to remain anonymous and ask questions for the panel to answer, please use this form in a separate submission and type "anonymous" under name.
