2020 June Critical PAR Institute Application
Welcome!

The Public Science Project’s Critical Participatory Action Research Institute is designed to introduce the theory, methods, and ethics of critical PAR to graduate students, faculty, community organizers and members of community-based organizations AND provide an environment of collective learning and engagement. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their current work, research interests, and projects to the institute to share with others and develop during the course of the week. To give us a sense of what you wish to bring and hope to learn at the institute, please submit a brief statement of interest answering the questions outlined below. Applications are due January 3, 2020.

Applicants applying in groups or research teams are given special consideration. Please indicate in your application if you are part of a group that is applying to participate. Every member of the group must apply individually. Applications from individuals are also welcome.

June 1 - 4, 2020    9am - 5pm each day

The APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JANUARY 3rd, 2020.
Applications submitted after January 3rd will be reviewed/accepted to the waiting list on a rolling basis. We highly recommend applying by the deadline.

Institute Information
Tuition for the 2020 Critical Participatory Action Research Institute is $1500. Tuition includes a light breakfast, lunch, and plentiful snacks each day. It does not include lodging. A housing resource list is available . A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due Feb 14th, 2020.
We have limited funds available for scholarships. These are available for participants representing community and grassroots organizations and graduate students with limited financial resources. If you are in need of scholarship, please complete a Statement of Need below. Briefly explain the financial constraints you are facing and why you would benefit from being awarded a scholarship (1 - 2 paragraphs).
