CloudTalk WhatsApp Outbound Template Submission
This form is designed for customers who are already registered for WhatsApp Integration, to submit new outbound messaging templates.

Please create a new request for each template submission. If you have not already completed the WhatsApp Integration Registration, please go back and complete this process before submitting any outbound templates

Prerequisites

Before submitting outbound message templates, you need to have already completed:

1. CloudTalk WhatsApp Integration Registration

2. Meta Business Verification in your Meta/Facebook Business manager (if you have not done this, WhatsApp will not activate your templates)

Functionality of WhatsApp Outbound Messaging

Pre-approved template messages are the only type of WhatsApp message that can be sent to your customers to start a conversation.

When your customer responds to your generic templated message, a 24-hour window will begin where you can send them normal freeform messages. Every time your customer responds, the 24-hour period is renewed.

This functionality is set by WhatsApp/Meta and cannot be influenced by CloudTalk.

WhatsApp has specified messaging categories that your templates must fall into. 

If you are unsure which category your outbound template will fall into, you can check Meta's template guidelines here

CloudTalk currently supports "marketing" and "utility" messaging. Conversational messages will fall under "marketing".

Marketing: 
- personalized messages or prompting new conversations with your customers
- promotional offers
- product announcements
- brand awareness and engagement. 

Utility (Transactional Service): 
-order management (order confirmation templates must contain an order number)
-account alerts or updates
-important information related to a specific, agreed-upon transactional service or subscription: confirmations, suspensions, or changes to a transaction
-feedback surveys

Any template that has a mix of utility and marketing content will be classified by Meta as a marketing template.

1024 characters or less

Use double curly braces for dynamic content.

Ex. If you want to send customers a variety of appointment confirmations such as "Your product demo is scheduled for 3 pm, Friday, May 12th.  Let us know if you need to reschedule!", you can do this under one template by using dynamic content.

Submit the template as: 

"Your {{1}} is scheduled for {{2}}.  Let us know if you need to reschedule!"

After submission it can take up to 48 hours for Meta to review and approve/reject each template.
