Build up your resume, plan events, make important networking connections, and much more as a member of the ALA Student Chapter's 2021-2022 Leadership Board! Self-nominations are being accepted until Sunday, May 2nd for all positions.
Please answer the following questions to complete your nomination form for the ALA Student Chapter Officer Election for the 2021-2022 academic year. All applications should be filled out by individuals who would like to be considered for a position.
The President's duties include, but are not limited to: coordinating activities, leading events, and delegating tasks. The President must be a member of ALA.
The Vice President's duties include, but are not limited to: taking over duties of the President in the latter's absence and assisting the President in carrying out the executive duties of the organization. The Vice-President must be a member of ALA.
The Secretary/Treasurer duties include, but are not limited to: taking minutes, coordinating and creating advertisements. The Secretary must be a member of ALA.
The Advising Officers shall be responsible for providing a voice for general members and assist as needed with duties assigned by the Leadership Board. This can include but is not limited to committee and program planning, social media and blog creation, and monitoring ListServ discussions. Advising Officers do not need to be ALA members.
Each appointment begins in June 2021 and will conclude at the end of June 2022 with an option to continue on as an alumni officer for one additional year, if graduating.
