Campground information: Ben's campground is right on the lake, it has a nice mens' and womens' bathroom with flushing toilets and heated showers. Also sinks to wash your hands. We hope there will not be a burn ban so we can enjoy campfires but if there is, we will have several propane stoves for cooking. Also should have enough cooking utensils but if you have pans that won't warp on a campfire or stove feel free to bring them. See Annette's camping suggestion list for meals easy to use on propane stoves. . We do not have electricity at the campsite but we always recharge stuff in the bathrooms or on the electric poles of campsites not in use. Also remember to bring your own utensils and cups as we don't usually bring extra. Bring 2 insulated mugs to keep coffee warm and for your soup or chili for example and a pie plate is great for most meals then all you need is to grab an old knife fork and spoon hahaha.
We camp rain or shine. If the weather looks questionable, no need to ask on Facebook or text if we will be going. There will have to be a hurricane, tornado and ice storm at the same time to keep Annette at home. We have done this campout in freezing weather and other times a beautiful 75 degrees, wet and dry so watch the weather and pack enough clothes to be comfortable so you can enjoy your trip.
