The transition from the short film to the first feature is usually cumbersome, frustrating and discouraging. How to get started, overcome the challenges and be able to identify the opportunities? In this meeting we will talk about script development frameworks in Israel and around the world, writing scholarships, opportunities for co-production, "Work in Progress" frameworks and choosing the right producer for the project. Amongst other subjects, we will also talk about producing a feature institutionally (through film funds) versus a low-budget independent feature. Hosted by director and creator Oren Gerner, in collaboration with the Israeli Directors' Guild.
