Whether stemming from separation or placement changes, there's a unique grief and trauma that the youth in foster care experience. The need for emotional support and trauma-informed care is especially important as your child may continue to face these experiences as they're growing up and continue developing their mental health. In this class, you will learn how to recognize common signs of grief and despair, including triggers and strategies to support and start the healing process by building confident trust and supportive relationships with those in your care.
This training fulfils: Section 8-01 (e) (1) (3) (4) of the Written Directives for Resource Parents. Certificates will be provided to those that complete the class and registration materials.
