Please use this form to tell use how you can support our parent assocation.

The Friends of WBGS are an integral element of school life; connecting families, providing social opportunites, buliding our school community and ultimately, working together to ensure the happiness and succes of our boys.

We are asking if you would be willing to spare 2 or 3 hours a term?

We are looking for parents, carers, older siblings and grandparents with a whole variety of skills and who are able to give as little or much time as they can, whenever they can. Every little bit makes a difference.

Below are listed some of the activities that you could get involved and help with - tick as few or as many interest you.

Additionally, if you have other ideas for ways you'd like to get involved we'd love to hear your suggestions - please add them to the last box.

Helping at the New to Year 7 Parent Welcome Evening on Thursday 7th July 2022, 5:30pm to 7:45pm

Helping with IT or any technical-related support for our events

Helping to provide videos, photos or written content for newsletters and the FoS website

Shopping for Refreshments and Sundries for Friends events

Helping to Organise the Friends Big Raffle

Contacting local businesses to ask for support and donations (eg raffle prizes)

Helping set-up for any of our larger events (usually Friday or Sat afternoon / early evening)

Helping on the Bar or Serving Food at our Big Events (Comedy & Quiz nights)

Putting an Estate Agent Board in your Garden advertising our Big Event

Communicating details of Friends events via whatsapp to your Class Group

Asking Your Employer to Fund-Match the proceeds from one of our events if they offer this (a list of participating companies can be found on the FoS website)

Buying a Ticket for one of our Events and bringing your friends and family along

Would you like to join the Executive Committe? The Friends of WBGS is the School's parent association. It operates independently from the School with its own executive committee. The official name is: The Friends of Watford Boys Grammar School and it is a registered charity number: 1073843. The Executive Committee is formed by parents just like you. We are currently seeking new members and would invite you to express your interest if you would consider volunteering for this important position in our school community. *
