2024 Adopt A Family Volunteer Opportunities Form
For over 30 years, the Adopt A Family Program has made it possible for struggling families with
 children to have a magical Christmas. We are seeking Angels to assist with the many volunteer opportunities available. This is a great way for your child or group to complete their Christian Service Hours or to bring the true meaning of Christmas into your own life. 

***PLEASE NOTE ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT***

All volunteer opportunities take place that the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 W. Temple Street, L.A. 90012. We are located in the parking structure P2 in the southeast corner.

Volunteer Saturdays & Delivery Day 
On our first two Saturdays (November 30 & December 7), we put together food boxes for our families. We also need help with gift wrapping and various other tasks.

Our last Saturday (December 14), is our delivery day event. On this day we will need help loading cars as volunteers take the gifts to the families. We will also need help as a delivery day driver in taking the gifts to the families. Our delivery day takes place in the parking structure of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels parking structure P2.

Gift boxes, filled with Christmas Magic, will be delivered to the families by volunteers with large cars or trucks. The gates to the parking structure entrance on Temple street will open at 6:30 am. Parking is free. The event starts at 7:30 am. We begin with a very short prayer service led by Archbishop Gomez. Immediately after the prayer service, we will then load all trucks and large cars in an assembly-line style. All necessary information will be provided to ensure the delivery of the gifts to each family. We work with LAPD to ensure the safety of all volunteers. This is a great opportunity to get together in groups, families, and friends as you bring Christmas cheer to families in need.

STAGING - We have to make sure that the gift boxes are ready for Delivery Day as volunteers will meet to pick up the gift boxes in the parking structure of the Cathedral on Delivery Day, December 14th.

The staging takes many hands to make sure all the families have their boxes ready for delivery. We may need help with last minute gift wrapping and other various tasks.
