This free, two-hour workshop will offer information and support for parents or caregivers* whose teen is experimenting with alcohol, marijuana, vaping and other substances.

Topics covered include: Information about marijuana, alcohol, vaping and other drugs; encouraging positive coping, setting boundaries, reducing risks, and improving communication; and, finally, how to get help for your teen if they need it.

Workshops are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6-8 pm at Jefferson County Public Health (645 Parfet Street, Lakewood). Free dinner will be provided to attendees.

Workshops are for parents, guardians or primary caregivers of adolescents. Youth should *not* attend the workshops with their parent or guardian.

Navigating Substance Experimentation in Teens Free Parenting Workshops
These workshops are offered free of charge to parents and guardians in Jefferson County, Colorado with funding from a Communities That Care grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, a grant from Community First Foundation and a Drug-Free Communities grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Any views, policies, and opinions expressed are those of the authors/ facilitators and do not necessarily reflect those of the grant providers.

*Out of respect for parents/guardians attending this workshop, we limit the number of people attending the workshop as observers.
