Reading Comprehension 3E
Grade 3, Set E (10 Questions)
Students read and understand grade-level-appropriate material.  They draw upon a variety of comprehension strategies as needed (e.g.; generating and responding to essential questions, making predictions, refer to the text, comparing information from several sources). These are some of the many strategies used in 'close reading'.

 The Field Trip
Marta’s class went on a field trip to the art museum. Everyone in Ms.Salazar’s class had a partner to walk with. Marta’s partner was Brenda. Their teacher reminded them to walk quietly in the museum and not touch anything.

Except for Douglas, all the students behaved well. Douglas’ mother had to come and pick him up after he knocked over a statue of a unicorn. He was lucky it didn’t break, or he would have been in more trouble!
