Central VPS Kindergarten Screening Sign-Up 21-22
Vassar Public Schools is currently in the process of putting our enrollment forms online.  In the meantime, we would like incoming kindergarten students to sign up for kindergarten screening; children currently in Young 5s with Ms. Johnson do not need to enroll or sign up for a screening time.  At kindergarten screening, we will be assessing your child on kindergarten readiness skills to help us create balanced classrooms and make recommendations for our Young 5s program (Young 5s is for children who are on the younger side; they will be introduced to the kindergarten curriculum, mastery is not expected like kindergarten).  Your child will also be screened for hearing and vision.  We will, furthermore, provide you with a KinderKit to get you and your child ready for kindergarten.  Kindergarten screening will take place on May 19th and 20th and you will sign up for one time slot.  Once our online enrollment forms are ready, we will contact you.  We look forward to partnering with you in educating your child!

Note: To enroll in Kindergarten or Young 5s, your child must by 5 by September 1st.  If your child is 5 by December 1st, however, you can write a letter to Mrs. Riccobono, Principal, stating that you would like your child to attend Kindergarten.
