CSU LGBTQ+ Mentorship Application (Mentor)
**NOTE: This sign up sheet is for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. Mentors from past years do not need to apply again.** APPLICATIONS DUE BY 9/17/21
This program provides a 1:1 mentor/mentee relationship for students that focuses on career guidance and general support. Each student will be paired with a college graduate who is a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community and a working professional. Mentors will provide career information and share their own lived experiences to support the professional and personal growth of student mentees.
We will likely have a larger pool of mentors than mentees, so it's possible that not every mentor will be matched with a student.
Mentors will be expected to be:
- A member or dedicated ally of the LGBTQ+ community
- A college graduate (any level/degree)
- Gainfully employed, or retired
- Willing to provide support and connect monthly with your student mentee for the duration of the academic year (Sept 2021 - May 2022). Monthly contact can consist of zoom sessions, email, text, phone, etc.
- Willing to share vocation/career information from your own experiences to help support career exploration and social growth
