Are you a young activist interested in learning ways to empower yourself, your community, and the world around you? Let's activate YOUR superpowers for social justice this Fall!

This school year Girls Initiatives celebrates the Year for N.O.W (New Opportunities & Wins) in anticipation of a powerful season of personal evolution, community building, and social change. Enhance your magic to eliminate racism and gender oppression in your community by joining our remote learning opportunities. Programs are FREE to participate in, and are open to self-identified girls, femmes, and gender nonconforming youth ages 14-18. All participants receive stipends and certificates upon completing programs. Metrocards and food provided for onsite activities.

- Mentorship Opportunities
- Hands on STEAM experiments

- Step In & Stop It: Bystander Intervention Training! (Tuesdays)
- Amplifying Multiple Perspectives (AMP) Leadership (Wednesdays)

October - December 2020
- Geek Girls: Afrofuturisms & Cultural Cosmos (Thursdays - 4:30pm - 6:30pm)

Daily snacks, light refreshments, and metrocards for in person activities!

WHO CAN APPLY?
- All programs are open to self-identified femmes, girls, and gender-nonconforming youth
- Ages 14-18
- NYC Residents (Location is flexible for remote learning opportunities)
- FREE to participate / No Academic Requirement
