Grant Request Guidelines:
1. Teacher must be a current member of the PTO.
2. Grant requests may be awarded in full or part of requested amount.
3. Grants should be for resources that enhance classrooms, curriculum, or extracurricular activities.
4. Grants must be applied within the same school year in which they are approved.
5. Grants should be for the benefit of the majority of students.
6. Grant funds not expended will revert back to the Aspira PTO general fund.
7. A summary letter referencing the results of the grant should be sent to the Aspira PTO to keep members informed of the results.
8. Grant requests will be reviewed first by the Aspira PTO executive board prior to the meeting and voting.
9. Grants are to be used for items beyond the required school resources (e.g., textbooks, etc.)
Possible grants:
- Classroom enhancers that showcase curriculum being used
- Field trip help (either lower cost for all students or allow students who can’t afford it to go)
- Speakers fees
- Books to add to or create classroom libraries
- New initiatives
