Interagency Food Nutrition & Policy Advisory Council (IFNPAC) - Quarterly public meeting
Established by the General Assembly in 2012, IFNPAC convenes 9 state agency Directors quarterly to find ways to overcome regulatory and policy barriers toward developing a strong, sustainable food economy and healthful nutrition practices.

Since the publication of the 2017 State Food Strategy Relish Rhody, IFNPAC has served as a coordinating agency to drive outcomes toward the Strategy. IFNPAC members represent 8 State agencies and the Governor’s Office. The agencies include the Department of Health, Department of Environmental Management, Department of Administration, Department of Human Services, Office on Healthy Aging, Department of Education, Department of Corrections, RI Commerce and Department of Children, Youth and Families.

RI Food Access Office Hours – Monthly
State agencies working to improve food access in RI (RI Department of Health, RI Dept. of Environmental Management, Department of Health and Human Services etc.) provide important updates regarding changes to their programming and opportunities such as grant announcements. Community - based organizations involved in food access also provide updates and anyone can join to ask questions!
Hunger Elimination Task Force  - Quarterly
The Hunger Elimination Task Force is co-facilitated by the RI Dept. of Health and the RI Food Policy Council. The Task Force seeks to reduce hunger and increase access to healthy, culturally appropriate food for all Rhode Island residents. We host a quarterly meeting focused on a particular theme (e.g. caring for aging Rhode Islanders, innovations in healthcare) and aim to highlight innovative community-based programs. The accompanying once a month bulletin provides updates on work done by task force members, federal and state resources, as well as information about joining work groups to continue this work.
Food Strategy 2030 Planning Updates - stay in the loop!
RI Commerce in partnership with other State agencies and food system stakeholders will be leading the process to update Rhode Island's 5-year food strategy "Relish Rhody 2017 – 2022". Sign up to stay in the loop on how to get involved and contribute.  More info here: https://www.visitrhodeisland.com/relish-rhody/the-plan/relish-rhody-20/
