Private lessons refer to any Footlights instructor working one-on-one with any dancer.

1) Private lessons with Footlights staff are to be paid to the studio, and the studio will pay the instructor. Private lessons are to take place on the property of Footlights Dance Studio.

2) Your card on file will be charged once the form is submitted. Failure to give at least a 24-hour notice of any need for cancellation will result in a full charge for the lesson missed. If a student is ill, every attempt should be made to notify Footlights Dance Studio as soon as possible.

3) Private lessons are non-refundable. You may reschedule but not cancel.

4) Please be on time for your lesson. Regardless of the arrival time of the student, the lesson will end on time.

5) If the student does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the instructor will not remain at the studio.

7) Private lessons are limited to Footlights’ normal operating business hours unless approval from the director is given for an after-hours lesson.

8) If the instructor or Footlights Dance Studio needs to cancel a scheduled lesson for any reason not at the request of the student, Footlights Dance Studio will notify the student/parent as any need arises. The lesson would then be rescheduled, or the payment returned.

9) All policies listed on the Footlights Policy page are still in effect during private lessons, and all dancers must have signed the policy page on file. This includes, but is not limited to, liability release for injuries, expected behavior of students and parents, etc. No student will dance without proper paperwork signed by a parent, legal guardian, or self if over age 18.
