Please join Tempe Junior Crew for a private screening of The Boys in the Boat!
You are invited to join TJC for a private screening of the highly anticipated movie The Boys in the Boat on December 27th - two days after its release!  

Directed by George Clooney, the movie is based on the New York Times #1 bestselling story about the America's 1936 Olympic rowing triumph in Nazi Germany under the nose of Adolph Hitler. Please come join the fun with your fellow desert rowers, family, and friends for this important fundraiser and help TJC to secure a grant from the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority enabling us to purchase four new sorely needed boats and other equipment.  

Reserve now!  We are expecting a large crowd of enthusiastic athletes and supporters!  Your early confirmation will ensure that we can accurately plan for the right size theater and have seating available for all who wish to join us.  Even if you're not able to attend the movie itself, register your email for follow up to receive the link for our exciting silent auction items.  Likewise, you can purchase raffle tickets now for our drawing to be held at the theater - you need not be present to win.  Arrangements are also being made for dinner to follow for those of you who can join us - details to follow.

Location: Harkins Shea 14 @ 7354 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
Date: Wednesday, December 27, 2023
Time: Doors open at 4:30pm to give you time to visit the concessions and bid on silent auction items as well as hear from an exciting speaker.   The previews and movies will start at 5:30pm. 
Invitees: TJC athletes and their family members as well as all of our supporters and friends at Rio Salado Rowing Club, ASU Rowing, Brophy, Xavier, and Tempe Town Lake Rowing. Families and friends welcome, all ages.
Tickets: $20 for youth 18 and under, $25 for adults. No physical tickets, names will be checked from a list at the theater.
Food and drink: Harkins concession stands will be open - no outside food please
Raffle: tickets for great prizes including a GoPro Hero4 and restaurant gift certificates!  You can purchase them now (you need not be present to win) or at the door.
50/50 Raffle: One lucky winner will receive half of the pot, and TJC will keep the other half! You can purchase now or at the door.

Tempe Junior Crew is a 501-3c charity.   This event is being held to help us raise money in order to receive a double matching award from the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority’s Biennial Grant Program. Funds will be used to purchase four new boats, slings, safety equipment, and stroke coaches for team training and competition. Donations are also welcome to the same payment links above.
