Dennis Maas for EA/GPA President 2023/2024
For those who don’t know me, Dennis Maas, I was born and raised on a farm just 5 miles southeast of
Enterprise.  So, Saturday night lyceums and other programs and activities in the old gym were influential
in my younger years as I looked forward to one day being a part of Enterprise Academy.
I graduated from EA in 1969. My older brother, Harold Jr. graduated from EA in 1960.
My younger sister, Sherlyn, graduated from EA in 1972. I was a member of the Salina, Ks. church from
1971 thru early 1982 when I moved my family to Denver where I was employed at Porter Memorial
Hospital.  After 11 years working at Porter, I again went back into business for myself as an independent
contractor of home remodeling.  In 2002 I moved back to Enterprise where I have been a member of
the Enterprise church as head deacon and local elder.  Since moving back from Denver I have been
involved in our alumni association for the six years of 2011 thru 2016.  Two of those years, 2013 and
2014 as president.  I have not thought about retirement just yet and continue to work as an
Independent contractor in home remodeling around the area.

Lindsey (Hovorka) Peterson for EA/GPA Secretary/Treasurer 2023/2024
Besides being mistaken as the Energizer Bunny, I am a member of the last graduating class of Enterprise/Great Plains Academy, Class of 2010. My freshman year I attended Enterprise Academy. My sophomore year is when EA/PVA were combined to make Great Plains Academy.  Being the 4th generation to attend Enterprise Academy, alumni weekends have always been a special experience for me. Having my Great-Grandma Drusilla (Schmidt) Fox graduated in 1937, my grandpa Larry Bales graduating in 1959, my grandma Carol (Fox) Bales-Speer and grandpa John Speer) class of 1961, both my parents Paul and Debra (Bales) Hovorka class of 1979 with numerous other family members having the opportunity to attend EA/GPA,  is why I believe the passion of the alumni association runs wild through my blood. I have been serving on the Alumni Committee since 2013, including being the President in 2017-2018. When I am not working on Alumni, my happy place is helping the elderly and working with children. When I attended Alumni 2016, a family friend approached me with a potential boyfriend candidate. After dating for 3 years, I married my best friend in 2019, Dakota who has embraced the EA/GPA Alumni Life. My desire is to help others enjoy alumni weekends for years to come until our Heavenly Father comes to take us home.
