Here is some more information!
We are 5 students from a teacher training college called DNS. Last year we were a part of a very similar journey, and we learned a lot from it, so we decided to organise one.
The project will start in Denmark, at our college on the 23rd of June 2024. In the first few days, we will prepare ourselves and the bus for the journey. Afterwards, we will cross Europe by bus (5 days), and in Algeciras (Spain) we will take a ferry to Morocco.
We will spend around 2 weeks in Morocco, and we will do a few investigations. An investigation occurs in a set period, usually 5 days, we will leave the bus in small groups, hitchhike and meet locals, and get to know their stories and more about Morocco. Each investigation should have a topic of focus, like agriculture, for example, and then we should try to find out as much about that topic as possible.
After the 2 weeks in Morocco, we will travel back to Denmark, and spend 4 days in the school reflecting on our experiences and creating a final product.
During the travel, you will experience the beauty of travelling and living on a bus together as a team. You will gain a different perspective on topics such as Climate Change, Colonialism, Social Justice, Conflicts and Globalization. You will challenge yourself and expand your comfort zone by getting involved in adventures and meeting different people and their realities.
Time: 23/06/2024 - 28/07/2024.
Price: 1000€ including food, accommodation and all the travel expenses.
*Travel from your home country to Denmark is not included.
**If you can't afford to pay this price, it is possible to apply for a scholarship.
